Since unveiling the concept back in 2019, Tesla’s Cybertruck has taken the world by storm. From the triangular body design to the flat stainless steel panels, the strikingly futuristic design is unlike anything consumers have seen before. As a paint protection film company, our wheels started turning the moment we heard about the stainless steel panels. We saw these unpainted panels as a blank canvas, just waiting to be customized and protected. And it didn’t take long before the new owners of these trucks started seeking out color change options.
Our team recently flew down to Silicon Valley, CA to work with Luxury Vehicle Wraps on one of these Cybertruck color changes using our updated DYNOpurple Fashion Film PPF.
This particular truck is owned by a Tesla engineer who managed to log 8,000 miles of driving on the truck already! While driving across the country, the owner encountered many different environments, making for a little extra prep work compared to freshly delivered vehicles. As we watched Luxury Vehicle Wraps prep the truck, we couldn’t help but notice a familiar struggle. Enjoy a paint-like color AND all the benefits of PPF

The Cybertrucks!
Another shop that has been indoctrinating plenty of Cybertrucks is OCDetailing in Fremont, CA. The Cybertruck Up Close and Personal
With a vehicle this different, we wanted to let you know our take on some of the cool, some of the new, and some of the just much different things about the Cybertruck that stood out.
- ‘Electrek’ Factory Air Suspension: the adaptive air suspension on the Cybertruck gives owners multiple ride height options to create more clearance off-road or simply lower the vehicle down to make climbing in and out easier.
- Mono-windshield wiper: one of the first things we noticed when we saw the Cybertruck in person was the GIANT singular windshield wiper. It functions like any old wiper blade, but the sheer size is a sight!
- Motorized Tonneau Cover: the truck comes standard with an electric retractable Tonneau cover that looks sleek and is immensely satisfying to open and close. Fun fact: Tesla claims the cover can handle up to 300 pounds on top of it!
- Rear-Wheel Steer: the Cybertruck’s rear-wheel steering turns up to 10 degrees in the opposite direction of the front wheels at slower speeds, effectively shortening the wheelbase and creating a tighter turn radius. At higher speeds, the truck’s rear wheels will turn 1-2 degrees in the same direction as the front wheels, effectively elongating the wheel base and making the truck more stable when changing lanes.
- Sharp Edges: Much like everything else about the Cybertuck, the body panels are genuinely unique. Most vehicles’ body panels have rolled edges, the Cybertruck’s stainless steel “exoskeleton” on the other hand are cut at the edge, leaving a sharp finish.
